Baked Figs with Walnuts and Honey

Great for a super quick desert or supper!


2 ripe figs per person

Handful of walnut pieces (or other chopped nuts- hazelnuts and almonds are also delicious)

Honey for drizzling (or maple syrup, golden syrup etc)

Ice- cream for serving



  1. Heat the oven to 180°C/ 160° fan/ gas 4 and line a baking tray with baking paper. Cut off the stalks and halve the figs, then place them cut side up on the prepared tray.
  2. Scatter over chopped walnut pieces, then drizzle with honey.
  3. Bake for 5-10 minutes until the figs have softened, the nuts have toasted and everything smells delicious!
  4. Dish up and serve with vanilla ice- cream.
