Baked Figs with Walnuts and Honey
Great for a super quick desert or supper!
2 ripe figs per person
Handful of walnut pieces (or other chopped nuts- hazelnuts and almonds are also delicious)
Honey for drizzling (or maple syrup, golden syrup etc)
Ice- cream for serving
- Heat the oven to 180°C/ 160° fan/ gas 4 and line a baking tray with baking paper. Cut off the stalks and halve the figs, then place them cut side up on the prepared tray.
- Scatter over chopped walnut pieces, then drizzle with honey.
- Bake for 5-10 minutes until the figs have softened, the nuts have toasted and everything smells delicious!
- Dish up and serve with vanilla ice- cream.
